ObamaNation or Abomination?

Obama said in Chicago on December 18 2008: "I think it is no secret that I am a fierce advocate for equality for gay and lesbian Americans. It is something that I have been consistant on and something that I intend to be consistant on during my presidency". What a joke. Even the gays are starting to realize something is not right with Obama. When I heard him say that I wanted to ask "So Obama, what are some things that you intend NOT to be consistant on?" He is not even president yet and already his true colors are starting to shine through. How about the attempted selling his senate seat, are we to believe he was not involved? These are his buddies. Corruption is today's word for "Secret Combination", and let's just keep in mind that The Book Of Mormon is written for our day.

Ike, if "even the gays are starting to realize something is not right with Obama," shouldn't that make you like him more? Besides that, you only have two vague accusations against him. One where you wonder "what else he will be inconsistent on" without actually listing any inconsistencies, and another where you try to tie him in with the selling of his senate seat; but you have no proof. Don't just bash on Obama without giving us something concrete.

No, bash Obama, he's a socialist who doesn't want his daughters "punished" with a baby. It is very interesting that he ran on the platform of "change" (pretty much undefined change) and has appointed people who've been in government for a long time. Also, among those are people from Chicago! Chicago is corrupt politically as proven by the Illinois governor and his predecessor! Obama supporters are extremely defensive of him, obviously don't mess with them; it doesn't cut both ways.

Not saying that I agree with everything Obama wants to do, but the comment above has lots more undefined complaints. In what way is he a socialist? Are all socialist ideas bad? Don't many of them seem awfully close to the Law of Consecration? What changes are you looking for? Was there something that you thought he was going to do and he didn't? What people has he appointed that you disagree with? Did you expect him to appoint politicians that weren't in politics, or someone who nobody has even heard of before (yeah, Palin worked out great)? And then there's a generalized statement saying he shouldn't appoint anyone from Chicago, because they are all corrupt. If you have a complaint, say something specific.

From the politically uneducated: "We the people" have elected Obama. He will either fail miserably and our nation will fall into the 'greatest depression'-which might be what we the people need to return us to "One Nation under God"- or he will be the hero our nation needs right now-as some of our past presidents have been as they have come into office during extreme difficulty. I for one plan to pray for him and our gov. to find working solutions to the problems that plague our nation and do my part to keep God in our Country. I sincerely pray that he will be able to finish his term without violence findind him or his family. I have read that there are threats against his life. I guess all presidents are threatened, but I think an attack on him would be most detrimental to our Nation.

ObamaNation or Abomination? Let the legacy begin.

Ike, I love your small print at the top. Everyone's comments are so interesting. I have my opinions, but I'm going to keep them to myself because they aren't very informed opinions and I don't want to look uninformed.
